Tell me the last time you've met someone that made you believe humanity was capable of obtaining the futuristic society we'd only imagined in movies. I recently watched Back to the Future 2 and felt mildly embarrassed by the extremely high expectations that movie placed on society by 2015. The only product that came together was the Nike Air Mag sneakers. We all play apart in the progression of our society but very few people spark the minds of millions all at once and inspire immediate results in advancement. With that kind of power comes intense levels of love and hate, and Kayne West and Elon Musk are two leaders who have mastered the art of harnessing the energy thrown their way and using it to fuel unthinkable achievements.
This dynamic duo has very comparable lives when examined closely. Currently labeled the 2nd richest man, Elon has experience leading companies into the future and beyond . PayPal, Tesla, and SpaceX are all startups that expanded the use of technology throughout the world. Kanye's creativity flows throw everything he touches, Partnering with GAP and transforming his Yeezy brand to a world dominating fashion apparel makes Kanye the king of culture. They’ve both had their share of challenges to overcome. Elon is currently creating controversy with his twitter fingers, raising concerns about the environmental effects of mining Bitcoin, off-tempo inappropriate memes about the crypto market and Tesla proclamations that had him investigated by the SEC. You'd expect Elon to be more inconspicuous since he has investors, board members, and world governments all watching closely, but I totally dig that he does the opposite. This brings us to another fellow billionaire that seems to be programed the someway. For 2 decades, Kanye has been the focal point of entertainment news. Fueled by his accomplished musical endeavors, we've come accustomed to asking “What’s Next Mr. West?” since the start of his career. It's also safe to say Kanye West has pissed off millions of people with statements like "I’m really happy for you, Ima let you finish but..." George Bush doesn’t care about black people" and my favorite " 400 years?? That sound like a choice." These are just the top 3 from Kanye's vault of classic quotes. Just naming these two visionaries’ achievements and down periods, highlight there's a downside to just about everything... even to being ultra-influential.
Truth is every "era of change " comes with a controversial figure, acting as a catalyst for that particular change. Being an agent for innovation can sometimes leave the vessel exposed to heavy criticism from the very society they are destined to revolutionize. Both West and Musk are willing to be crucified for sharing their thoughts because they act out of duty. Consumers never get the feeling that it’s just a money move when these two start a project. Kanye West and Elon Musk are both saying to the world "The old way doesn’t work anymore” and are offering better alternatives. Kanye is deeply committed to evolving the human culture by bridging the racial gaps within humanity. Elon Musk understands that it's going to take real guts to deploy a space shuttle to Mars. He represents the evolution of humanity the same way Thomas Edison ushered in electricity into light bulbs. Musk also understands that the world has outgrown the idea of centralized currency. A global society needs a global currency. We live in a world where the old elite are reluctant to evolve but pull strings behind closed doors to dictate how the world changes. The gap between the wealthy and the poor is widening, no matter who the president is. This pair of Mavericks offer up serious proof to consider envisioning a new horizon, where every person has a better chance at success while minimizing waste in the process. We should all chill out on being critics and look in the mirror before judging others who are risking it all to bring change even as it makes them profit (laughing). Seriously, the amount of criticism that is dished their way daily, is equivalent to what two people would receive in one lifetime. Even as I type this I hear a crypto famous youtuber criticize Elon Musk on his love for Dogecoin .I don’t want to set my hopes sky high like the producers of Back to the Future 2 , but rest assure we're going to get some nice cars and cool sneakers out the deal. Speaking of Marty McFly… Kanye when are we going to get that Rick and Morty episode?
