While relaxing with my youngest son on a Friday night after a grueling school and work week , I was bitten by the bug of nostalgia, and a brilliant idea came to my mind. I immediately Placed my root-beer down on the table and pauses the Mario 64 on Nintendo Switch (best Mario of all time) telling my son to hand me the remote so I can show him something cool. He agreed but I can tell that he had doubts on how cool this "something" would be. I clicked on the Amazon search tab and started to type. He begin to sound out the words "Whats Bevis and Butthead ?" I replied with a grin filled with glee "You'll soon see son!" So we begin to watch the episode where Butthead tricked Bevis into woking on his off day, then proceeded to get them both fired. We didn't get to watch much of it due to my wife walking in and immediately turning off the TV.I honestly didn't remember it being that inappropriate growing up (Shame on you MTV lol ). I couldn't help but to ponder what a modern episode of Bevis and Butthead would look like. Centered around Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Whats that ? You ask what cryptocurrency is? If your just waking up out of a coma I can brefily explain it to you .

Inflation is reaching dangerously high levels and the Fed just can't seem to find a solution that doesn't involve printing money. Fortunately a solution to the dwindling fiat has come via internet technology that promises to aims to rid society of controlling governments ( Russia,China,North Korea etc.. ) and money stealing banks (all of them) . Blockchain technology has created a decentralized transparent and secure asset that's currently redefining how value is being exchanged.

Most of the world has heard about Bitcoin but the over all theme of crypto still seems to be little fuzz . Depending on whom you heard it from you may think its the newest craze since Pokemon cards or a Ponzi scheme . According to Oxford the definition of cryptocurrency is digital currency in which transactions are verified and records maintained by a decentralized system using cryptography, rather than by a centralized authority. This term goes far beyond Bitcoin and extends to Etherem, Dogecoin, Shiba, Jamsy and thousands of other coins. These are all digital assets that store value, some better than others. they are all giving the people of earth alternatives to traditional centralized fiat that is becoming more unstable everyday Back to the million dollar question. What would Bevis and Butthead do with this new wealth building opportunity? Ive imagined the episode to go like this:

  • Bevis and Butthead would both agree that it's a physical assets and that it could be purchased at their local corner store, near the lottery tickets.

  • They'd then get frustrated with trying to find some and then would counterfeit coins and try to sell it to some kids.

  • After that plan failed they'd later get tricked into buying fake coins and would later take them to an arcade to use at the VR station .

  • While using the VR station, Bevis would try to buy some Nfttys "NFT''s from an avatar because he believes he'd make even more money than with Crypto, but gets frustrated with the fact that he can't take it out of the Metaverse. Starts to curse "Mark Zeckaburger"

  • Butthead would start breaking the VR set and calling crypto a scheme and the arcade workers would call security and have them kicked out .

There you have it, the 1st episode of Bevis and Butthead revamped . If you still own the rights to Bevis and Butthead Mike Judge, Steven Anderson, you can think me later(please don't sue me).If you want to know more about Bitcoin, the Metaverse and NFTs keep checking out this page. For now, I think I will just keep watching Cuphead and Mughead with my son.
